Giana Luna was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From 2014-2017, she was signed to a local music label and released an EP, a Christmas single, and an album under a different stage name. After going independent, she released an EP in 2018. This music is no longer available for streaming. However, Giana has performed her music in states along the East Coast (NY, NJ, PA, DL, and WV), and her music has received local and internet radio play since 2014. In 2021, Giana became a full-time member of the band at Howl at the Moon in Philadelphia, a dueling piano bar chain. She learned both drums and bass for the job, and added those to her roster of instruments she can play on top of piano, ukulele, and guitar. Since her residency at Howl at the Moon ended in the summer of 2024, she has been independently gigging in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
Giana's songwriting style blends pop with folk. She most likes to write about interpersonal relationships, romantic feelings, and introspection. Her lyrics read like a diary, which are wrapped in pop melodies over arrangements varying from acoustic folk-pop to synthy, dreamy pop. She loves exploring with layering vocals and harmonies. Her debut single "Twilight Champagne" was released on August 31st 2023. She has hopes to release a full debut album in 2026.

There is a magic in the air as daylight shifts to moonlight, and the world seems to glow in blues and purples. Like a passing thought can grow into a deep emotion, "Twilight Champagne" opens with only piano and vocals, until the two become swept up and enveloped in sparkling synths. In this indie pop daydream, Giana Luna invites us into the depths of her heart as she paints the picture of a wistful, rainy summer evening of yearning to be noticed in a crowded room.
The official Twilight Champagne music video is coming soon. It's a fully animated music video, so it's taking some time to finish.
Giana's debut single release was covered in the Philadelphia Northeast Times on August 30th 2023.
She was also a featured artist in Niji Magazine on September 12th 2023.
