Giana Luna was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From 2014-2017, she was signed to a local music label and released an EP, a Christmas single, and an album. After going independent, she released an EP in 2018. For personal and professional reasons, all of this music has been erased from the internet. However, Giana has performed her music in states along the East Coast (NY, NJ, PA, DL, and WV), and her music has received local and internet radioplay since 2014. In 2021, Giana became a full-time member of the band at Howl at the Moon, a dueling piano bar chain, and has had a residency there since. She learned both drums and bass for this gig, and added that to her roster of instruments she can play on top of piano, ukulele, and guitar.
Giana's songwriting style blends pop with folk. Her lyrics read like a diary, which are wrapped in pop melodies over arrangements varying from acoustic folk-pop to synthy, dreamy pop. She loves exploring with layering vocals and harmonies. Her style is often compared to Dodie, Emily Kinney, and Taylor Swift. Her debut single "Twilight Champagne" was released on August 31st 2023. She has hopes to release a full debut album in 2024/2025.
